Taylor's school picture

Taylor is in first grade this year and he looks so old to me. I can really see him at 19 with a suit and tie on leaving on a mission.

SNOWDAY 12-07-07

We all had a lot of fun playing next to our house, were there is a hill perfect for little sledders.

Taylor reading

I can't believe I have a child that is good at reading. It's all Aaron's DNA doing. I am so proud of him.

football in pads

Aaron has been talking to the High School football players about playing against the teachers for three years. Well this year the coaches agreed. Aaron and two other school teachers padded up on Halloween day and played against the High Football team. The purpose was to help the team beat another school and move on to the play offs. They won so the fallowing week Aaron got to suit up again and the team got 2nd in the state. Aaron said it was so very much fun. He said it's more fun then he has had in a long time. Which says a lot because he goes snowboarding every winter.
If you ask Aaron about it he will tell you funny stories about how slow he felt.

School Picture Day

Isn't this the best class picture collage? Better then I had in school.

Now look closer and look at the kids faces. What does it mean when you have those expressions in the class picture?

Josh and Melissa's wedding day

We had so much fun this weekend. Every moment was heart swelling for me. I loved it so much I replay the whole weekend over and over in my head because it was that good This picture shows my girl Rachel, me holding my son Mason, my mom Glenda, my boy Cameron and my boy Taylor.

This is one of my favorite pictures, because it shows now all of us married and in the same stage of life. I love my brothers and I am exited to get to know them in a different way.

Check out the structure Aaron built. It was a 4 post, arched, structure. That spanned 20' X 30'By the time we were done nobody could ever tell it was a gym. It really turned out fantastic. My brothers went out side and sawed off huge branches and we put them everywhere.

My littlest, Mason. All standing posted for a picture.

Only in Woodruff

I was giving my boys a bath, when I step out of the bathroom and saw three masked men standing in my kitchen. What would you do? They were all wearing Halloween costumes.

Only in Woodruff would I not kill them or call 911.

New costumes for a new Halloween Party

This time we are going to the Church Halloween Carnival. The mutual kids put on a Halloween Carnival for all of the primary kids. It is a great tradition.

Here we have Aaron holding Mason dressed up as an alien.

Taylor was given the option to make his own costume this year. He hated but excepted it. Then Cameron looked at Taylor's home made basketball uniform and said "I want to be a basketball player too." The "NBA" and the headbands were all Taylor's idea of a good basketball player. They had a lot of fun and so did I.
HOME MADE IS THE WAY TO GO!!!

Knighting of Elder Eyring

Photography and comments by Scot Facer Proctor. "I was doubly blessed to be able to attend the first session on my press pass with my camera. Those who were watching the proceedings of conference on television were not able to see what happened when the new callings were issued to President Eyring and Elder Cook. I wanted to show you some of what I observed."
It will take 5 seconds to load but worth it. The picture I posted here of Elder Eyring is my favorite one...

go to the address---- http://www.meridianmagazine.com/photoessay/071015moment.html
to see a dozen more that do not take any time to load.

Pumpkin Carving 10-22-07

This one is Taylor

Here we have Cameron and his scary face.

Taylor was completely grossed out by the pumpkin slime. Mason loved it.

What is your nickname?

My good friend Spel Beana from Texas posted all her nicknames. So what is yours?

From high school we had Emily at Digg ya Delores. I was Biff and they added Bolonya. Lena was Spelia Mekalaka Odote'. Brooke must have been Crunch Kavaka Davika.

My friends were top in their class. Just very smart people, so nicknames to them are longer then their origanal names. Weird I know but I love the names and the friends anyway.

Crissy came from my Grandma.

Goose came from my husband that took me from Florida/Texas to Utah. A very cold place to live. I would get goose bumps all the time and so he called me goose.

Crys is easyer to say when passing a basketball to me down the court.

Thunderthighs is a complement from track. I could beat anybody in the 300 hurtles, because of my muscular legs. I couldn't find a real track picture to post.

Hey Spel Beana- Did you know Courtney is Roy, UT and married to Scott?

5 Things You May or May Not Know About Me

1. I help coach a girls high school basketball team.

2. When I go back to college I want to major in fashion design. Then produce my own line of modest, classy, comfortable clothing. Which I already have a 1/2 dozen products on the market now.

3. Aaron and I plan on snowboarding with our kids until they put us in wheelchairs because of old age.

4. My mom is my #1 hero. And her mom is my #2 hero.

5. I think I have the greatest life, because of
my husband and because of what Rachel taught me I have a 45 year old mind and a 29 year old body.

I guess now I will tag the only other person I know that has a blog. Stephanie my sister in law.

10th year Anniversary

Aaron really went all out for our anniversary. The whole weekend was one surprise after another. First stop was a beauty salon for me and the Mac store for him. Dinner was at Red Rock in Salt Lake City. Then off to Snowbird Sky Resort for the night. It snowed for us while we were there. Just as it always did. Saturday was the funniest. He took me to all our old apartments, Gourdine pastries, the Salt Lake Temple, and Su Casa.

Halloween has begun

We had a school Halloween carnival. At the end there was a magic show. Everyone laughed the entire hour. Taylor and Cameron still can't figure out how he did the tricks.

Happy Birthday Taylor

On Sunday we had Chad, Jessica, Jozie, and "Grandma B" up for Taylor's birthday. He turned 7. WOW! Taylor was bursting with excitement. Kid birthdays are so much more fun.

Taylor's favorite gift was a whoopee cushion Mason gave him. He was so exited. Before moving on to the next gift he blew it up to try it out. Taylor's dad says "here, put it on my chair and I'll sit on it." Aaron walks back into the room playing it up. Acting goofy so the whoopee cushion sound will be even funnier. As Aaron sits down on it, it pops.

Taylor was so devastated. We all took a few minutes of silence as Taylor and Aaron embrace and got control of their emotions. I think Aaron felt just as bad as Taylor. When Taylor was ok again we were able to move on to the next gift.

Fun with Taylor's

So I wanted to give a glance into Thursday with "Great Grandad." I saw Grandad tickling Cameron when he was in the hamick. He also held baby Jozie 6 or more time. He really seemed to enjoyed himself and felt comfortable hanging out. I was so glad. I think Taylor and Cameron will remember him now. I hope to see him in future years so Mason will know him too.

There is a fun picture of Josh giving me and Cameron a piggy bag ride, at the same time. Josh makes me laugh SO HARD.

Chad had Grandad hooked up to a tape recorder and got some really good stories.

Hope you enjoy these pictures.

Love, Crystalyn

Grandad Ray

My Grandad came to visit this last week. We do not see him very often so I took many pictures. He is my father's father. We spent most of the time at Chad and Jessica's. Josh and Melissa got to see him Thursday after noon. The visit was long over due and turned out really fun.

Crystalyn's thoughts

I went to institute for the first time in my life. I went last Wednesday night. What I learned is so cool I want to share it with everyone. I can't stop thinking about it. I thought about calling my mom or writing a letter to Richard (Aaron's dad). Instead I'll just blog it. That way nobody feels obligated to listen and I still feel like I told someone.

I always kind of wondered who I was before I was born onto earth. Did I have a brain and to how much of a personality or interests did I have?

In the pre-earth life I was doing the same thing I am striving to do now. President Joseph Fielding Smith Jr. said, "during the ages in which we dwelt in the pre-mortal state we not only developed our various characteristics and showed worthiness and ability, or the lack of it, but we were also where such progress could be observed.

Elder Bruce R. McConkie said, "Being subject to law, and having their agency, all the spirits of men, while yet in the Eternal Presence, developed aptitudes, talents, capacities, and abilities of every sort, kind, and degree...No two spirits remained alike. Mozart became a musician;...Cain was a lair...Mary and Eve were two of the greatest of all the spirit daughters of the Father. And so it went through all the hosts of heaven, each individual developing such talents and abilities as his soul desired.

Elder Bruce R. McConkie explained: "The greatest and most important talent or capacity that any of the spirit children of the Father could gain is the talent of spirituality. Most of those who gained this talent were chosen, before they were born, to come to earth as members of the house of Israel...Though all mankind may be saved by obedience, some find it easier to believe and obey than others. Hence the concept, taught by Jesus, that his sheep know his voice and will not follow the dissident voices of the world"

I understand my place here on earth, because I understand who I am. Who I really am. I'm also exited because Rachel was right there with me in Heaven and that is who she really is.

with love, Crystalyn

me

I have to post a picture of me. This will make it possible for my comments to have a picture of me next to it. I thought it would be fun just to try it out, just to see if I could do it.

Rachel and Aaron

Here are some pictures of Rachel and Aaron. It was so good t see them. They are doing good. As you can see Rachel had fun with the Birthday boy, Mason.

Mason's Birthday Party

We invited the family up on Sunday to celebrate Mason's second birthday. It was a lot of fun. Aaron's parents Carol and Richard came. My parents Glenda and Mike came; and they brought Kristianna. It was great that Kristianna came because she hadn't had the chance to come for a long time. To make it even better Rachel and Aaron came too. Everyone was having such a great time I took a ton of pictures. The little red headed boy is Kristianna's boy Micheal. He is a lot of fun and a good kid. I hope we stay in contact enough to create a close bond between the cousins.

Happy Birthday Mason

Today September 22, 2007 is Mason's second birthday. He help clean the betters with his friend Mitchell Hopkin. The Hopkins live here in Woodruff and befriended us when we first moved out here. They are a lot of fun. They are the ones that showed us how to brand cows, cook in a dutch ovens, and wear Wanglers. All five of their kids are great kids.
